Feliz Sabado

Feliz Sabado! My new plan is to try updating my blog in the mornings. Not sure yet if I’ll continue to have time each day, but the internet runs astonishingly faster in the morning!
Yesterday was the first time I went to the INFHA. It was fine riding the bus back and forth with the other girls who work there, not crowded too much at all. It’s funny though that the daycare is only about 3 ½ miles away, but it takes an average of 45 mins to make the trip by bus with all the stops. I don’t mind though. At least not yet J
All the kids were super cute, though disappointingly no babies there!! There’s about 35 -40 kids and most of them are less than 10 years old I’d guess. One little boy in particular, David, had the cutest smile ever and wanted to sit in my lap all the time! He was 5 I think and there was another super cute one who was 3 and he seriously had the most adorable laugh- just like the baby Grinch in the Grinch movie! Haha. Spent about half the time just hanging out with the kids and the other half making lunch- lots of prep work to feed them all! Each one made me a welcome card with my name on it so that was really sweet.
It finally has reduced to a drizzle here as well! Maybe I’ll end up with a little bit of a tan in 4 months haha. I’m still really homesick; I never was this sad when I went to Union without knowing anyone! Though I think Tori was the one who saved me there being such a great roommate. It’s so hard here being a foreign culture with a language I don’t totally understand and food that I don’t love (still beans at every single meal ugh). Though I can grab snacks in town no problem since that is where the daycare is and there’s plenty of places nearby. I continue to wonder what exactly my role is here since no one really tells me what to do. Hopefully I’ll figure it out soon.
Cold showers everyday too btw. But the kids here are all fascinated with my hair and it’s curliness. Especially since it’s extra curly from the humidty. They play with it all the time which I don’t mind at all! Papa I’m sure you understand that one.
Ok that’s all for now. I miss all you guys a ton. I can’t tell if anyone is reading this besides my parents cause there’s no comments anywhere, but even if you’re not it still helps for me to write it all. Kelly
