Peeing in the dark and other such adventures

Not a whole to share today. It is such an incredible blessing having Jessica here! I guess that's really my only biggest thought right now. Just someone to talk to and help translate and explain stuff to me. I feel so much less lonely now.

We have a flashlight in the bathroom right now since we have decided our light is crazy. It's like possessed or something- just constnatly flickers on and off, and mostly off. So going to the bathroom in the dark is an adventure. On the other hand I did laundry tonight and that was very much the same as in the states, quite uneventful. the kids here all have to wash their clothes by hand but the staff get to use the laundry machine so that's nice.

Made mac and cheese for dinner tonight and it was nasty! I think i'd almost rather have beans. It was a cheap no-name brand with powered cheese. and there was no milk and no butter so i had to add water to mix it up. Eeww. I shared with the kids though and they really liked it at least.

Excitement today was that some kid showed up with a huge bandage on his arm. He got bit by a monkey yesterday I guess and he showed us underneath the bandage where he had stitches and everything. Then another kid fell or was pushed, not really sure what happened, but he started screaming and when Jessica picked him up he had blood pouring down his face. A couple nice gouges in his head. Neither of us really knew what to do, they didn't look super deep so I hope he doesn't need stitches. But they weren't just little scrathes either. I held some gauze on his head til the bleeding stopped and jessica put some antibiotics on and a big bandaid. Good as new.

I'm tired now so I think heading to bed here in a sec. Any updates on exciting stuff back home?!?!
